Marcus is a gun for hire, who has been commissioned to kill a husband and his wife. As the film begins, Marcus is awaiting final payment for his services in his hotel room. He is soon joined by his ‘assassin’ mentor, Eli, his former lover and fellow assassin, Eva newbie’ , and an upcoming ‘assassin, Chase. There seems to be an issue with the ‘hit’ that Marcus was hired to do, and the film goes into great, agonizing details of the events which have led these four individuals to arrive at this hotel room, on this night, at this specific time. The three guests have two hours to determine what events have actually transpired during the Marcus ‘hit’ before an anticipated phone call from the boss takes place. Aside from periodic flashbacks, 4 Assassins is almost entirely set within Marcus's suite. There is very little action, lots of pointless talking. It feels like this entire movie could have been a very short story, or a monologue. So the four squabble, reminisce, have dinner and wait for the inevitable phone call signalling it is time to terminate Marcus. That is basically the whole movie. The dialogue isn’t always quite as sharp and clever as the makers would like to think it is but the cast share genuine chemistry: especially Ferrer and Yun Lee who really feel like old friends and infuse their characters with actual personality. If you’re expecting a “bang-bang-guns-ablazing-shoot’em up” as suggested by the title — look elsewhere. Despite the absence of copious action and the confined setting, the film never drags and tension is built quite nicely even if the climax if fairly predictable. That is about the only nice thing I can say about the film. But if you’re into a character study of four killers examining how they got to where they are while dealing with an unfinished hit, then this is for you. Yes, it takes it’s time. But it’s a rewarding slow build to a tense climax. Will Yun Lee and Miguel Ferrer are stand-outs in a well-rounded cast. I believe the film would have been a much better film, if the film would have tracked the trials and tribulations of the life Marcus. Mentored by Eli at the age of 15 to become a viable assassin, and united with Eva to become a forcible killing duo; this is the story we the audience wanted to see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2YbkG3xEGA I cant even recommend this movie as something to watch when you have nothing better to do. Perhaps a better name for this film would have been ‘Bore Assassins’. For a film that’s only 80 minutes, it really drags. I also didn’t care for the ending – is Marcus dead or not? Nah, I won’t go into spoiler territory but just take my words for it. This film sucks. First 10 minutes gave me hope that it might get good, but it didn’t. Naruto mercilessly killing White Zetsu with new Rasenkyugan! Naruto Shippuden 296 review. Jan 20th 2013, 15:59 * The title of Naruto Shippuden 296 is "Naruto Enters the Battle". It's time for Naruto to join the Allied Shinobi Forces in their efforts to battle Akatsuki. Naruto now has powers to sense enemy presence and he uses it to sense White Zetsu. Shikaku is instrumental here bringing Naruto up to date with the current intel and developments. Starting off Mabui summarizes the war events since the beginning. Gaara's Fourth company desert front still in the standoff. Darui and his First Company incurring severe losses at the shore with the Akatsuki's humanoid. Third Company headed by Kakashi are sealing away former members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, while Mifune's Fifth Company joined the Commando unit.   Mabui explains about White Zetsu and its ability to mimic opponents looks and chakra as well as its discovery by Sakura. She continued by reporting on Naruto and his escape helped by his new friend Killer Bee.   Live Newscast connected to Naruro while he was running, but Killer Bee stole the spotlight by kissing the camera… on National Live television no less.   Madara gathering his reanimated shinobi squad surmised that Naruto would by now have an ability to sense enemy chakra (wife of First Hokage Mito Uzumaki had the same skill). Dots are connecting for Madara and his evil plans to "extinguish the Senju's Will of Fire. He is now counting on Naruto rushing to fight White Zetsu.   Still at the News station Shikaku comments on Raikage being convince to letting Naruto and Killer Bee pass to the front lines. He says he is not too surprised knowing that with Naruto the impossible seems possible… only this could be what Madara may be hoping for.   Sakura and other medic ninja are discussing similarity in White Zetsu's DNA and that of First Hokage. Tsunade explains that Madara and Orochimaru created Botanical Ninja from body of First Hokage. They were able to collect and cultivate them, then replicate these cells to create many Zetsus. Madara's used this replicating process to keep himself alive and immortal all these years.     Shikaku sends a message to both Naruto and Killer Bee explaining how Madara's Project Tsuki No Me works; that is that he needs both Eight Tails and Nine Tails to accomplish it. In other words Naruto and Killer Bee are the prime targets and Madara will stop at nothing to achieve it. Shikaku warned Naruto never to negotiate with an evil man.   Madara's Project Tsuki No Me involves gathering all Tailed Beasts and controlling all humans through genjutsu. Controling how? Let's just say Madara has no interest in peace. As Madara once explained it to Naruto, "controlling people requires skill to manipulate the darkness in their souls. Madara controlled Nagato once and now he is controlling Sasuke's hatred. Naruto is convinced he can "pulverize" Madara and end this war, but Madara is thought of as immortal.   Naruto and Killer Bee are still running when they encounter White Zetsus transformed into allied forces. Naruto quickly saw through them and attacked without hesitation. We see Naruto weaving numerous Rasengans simultaneously. Multiple Nine Tails' hands come from behind him and with Rasenkyugan these arms each grabbed Zetsu and threw it on the ground. A new tree would grow instantaneously on the same spot. Naruto learned to affect the Wood Style by turning the Zetsus into grown trees.   When numerous Zetsus melted into one to make much bigger and more amiable opponent, Naruto made a Mini-Rasen Shuriken and used it to cut this beast's right leg right off. He then called Summoning Mayhem Jutsu a large frog that came out of nowhere and sat on top of this thing. He left Mr Gamahiro (frog ninja) and his Shadow Clones there to keep an eye on things. Naruto decided to hit all the battlefields at the same time. Cocky? Insane? Maybe just confident, he called Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu and sent them away in all directions.   Two Allied Ninjas are shown running through a field when they're stopped by Reanimated Ninja from Cloud using Kekkei Genkai Magnet Style Toroi! Whatever this guy touches, becomes magnetized. He threw dozen or so square shaped Shurikens and one of our ninja got it and instantly became infused with magnetic power. This made him a perfect target as next round of Shuriken squares were drawn to him. The guy though he was going to die when at that moment Naruto slammed the Magnet Style guy to pieces.   Gaara's Fourth Company and the Ex-Kage Ohnoki make a stand. Four Reanimated dark eyes opponents are met with a huge Sand storm, presumably Shukaku a One Tail equivalent. One of the undead used a heavier gold dust to counter it. When all was settled Gaara appeared on a horizon. Using his sand, Gaara grabbed legs of three of his opponents, while Ohnoki attacked the fourth one (his predecessor) with Particle Style Atomic Dismantling Jutsu. When this guy got dismantled Gaara addresses his long dead father.   I am no longer a Jinchuriki you created father," Gaara says to his dad "I am a Kazekage now!" In the next Naruto episode we're going to meet Gaara's father who will insist on a fight. The title of Naruto Shippuden 297 is "A father's Hope, A Mother's Love".
